Day 1: Delhi - LehUpon arrival at the Kushok Bakula airport in Leh, placed at an altitude of 3500 m, you meet an IH representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. Once you reach the hotel, enjoy your welcome drink and complete the check-in formalities. The rest of the day is free to get acclimatized to the high altitudes. In the evening, visit the Shanti Stupa- constructed in 1991, this structure is dome-shaped Chorten that is white in color. Later, visit the local market of Leh to shop for some interesting souvenirs. It is not only known for its religious importance but also for the splendid views of the surrounding that it offers. Stay overnight in the hotel.Day 2: LehIn the morning on day 2, move towards the west of Leh and visit the magnificent Alchi monastery (70 km). En route, stop at Magnetic Hill to witness the confluence of Indus & Zanskar River. Once you halt, treat your eyes to the picturesque beauty, sprinkled all around. Later, continue to the Alchi Monastery. Placed on the banks of River Indus, this monastery is famous for its miniature paintings and for being Ladakh’s oldest Buddhist learning center. While returning back to Leh, visit the Military Hall of Fame. Constructed as well as maintained by the Indian army, this museum has been erected in memory of the fearless soldiers who died in the Indo-Pak wars. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.Day 3: Leh - Nubra ValleyIn the morning, drive towards Nubra Valley (115 km). En route, cross Khardungla Pass, known as the world’s highest motorable road. Placed at an altitude of 5359 m, this pass offers you nice photo opportunities. Continue towards Nubra Valley, a tri-armed valley looks like a cold desert on a high altitude. The afternoon is scheduled for visit to the Diskit Monastery-one of the largest as well as the oldest Buddhist monastery and Hundur Monastery- another popular and old Gompa in Nubra Valley. These two monasteries are placed closely. Sightseeing is followed by a camel safari in white sand dunes of the valley. Stay overnight at the Deluxe Camp/Hotel.Day 4: Nubra Valley - LehOn the 4th day in the morning, begin your day with a visit to the Samstanling Monastery. Built during the 19th century, this monastery boasts of a splendid architecture and offers nice views of the surroundings. Later, drive back to Leh via Khardongla Pass. In the evening, indulge in last minute shopping at Leh bazaars. You can purchase Pashmina shawls, Chinese cutleries, pearls and Ladakhi wooden handicrafts. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.Day 5: Leh - Pangong LakeEarly morning, venture out of your hotel for a full day excursion to the very well-known Pangong Lake. When you reach, set-up a camp on the banks of the lake. One of the largest lakes in Asia, Pangong Lake changes its color 4 to 5 times in a day. Nestled amidst tall mountain peaks, this lake is located on the Indo-China Border. In the afternoon, set out to enjoy a romantic walk alongside the lake. Admire the picturesque sight. In the evening, visit the little nomadic village located nearby. Witness the rural lifestyle of the local people. Stay overnight at the tented camp.Day 6: Pangong - LehEarly morning on the 6th day of the tour, click as many images as you can, have breakfast and later, drive back to Leh. Spend some memorable moments here and soak-in the serenity. If you wish, you can also visit Hemis Monastery, located 5 kilometers away from Kharu. It boasts of being India’s wealthiest monastery and has a rich collection of ancient objects such as gold and silver stupas, Lord Buddha statue, made in copper, murals, Thangka paintings, interesting artifacts and so on. By noon, return back to Leh. The afternoon is free to relax and last minute shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.Day 7: Leh - Delhi (By Flight)Today is the last day of your tour. In the morning, get an assisted transferred to the Kushok Bukola airport to board flight for Delhi.
